One of the highlights in 2014 was the first SCI-TReCS Scientific SUMMiT which took place on November 13th, and was hosted and organized by Prof. D. Strunk (Institute of Experimental and Clinical Cell Therapy (ExCT).

This meeting brought together the SCI-TReCS team members to further intensify and to foster collaborations aiming at identifying and advancing the development of novel therapeutic and regenerative strategies showing potential to treat various human neurodegenerative and other diseases.

The keynote speaker, Prof. Anthony Windebank from Mayo Clinic, presented his views and scientific concepts at the forefront of neuroregeneration research, with the topic “Regeneration of the Nervous System – From Animal Models to Patients.
